Artist Statement

Art is a reflection of the world around us, a canvas where the divine intertwines with the mundane. It transcends personal identity; it’s not about labeling myself as an artist, but rather about being a conduit for something greater. I see God as the true creator, and I merely channel God’s energy through my work. My artistic journey is driven by the desire to highlight the beauty bestowed upon us by the true creator, to find grace in the randomness of life. Each piece I create challenges viewers to appreciate the overlooked—those everyday objects that often go unnoticed but hold profound potential for transformation.

The beauty of art lies in its omnipresence—it's everywhere, from the vibrant street murals to the intimate corners of homes and offices. Each shape, color, line, and word captures my imagination, igniting a sense of joy and wonder. The more I engage with these materials—newspaper, spray paint, oil, acrylic—the more I realize how transformative and therapeutic this exploration can be. It’s a humbling experience to witness how disparate elements can coalesce into something profound, leaving me in awe of the creative journey.

In my work, I embrace the practice of upcycling, breathing new life into discarded materials. This approach not only speaks to sustainability but also resonates with deeper themes of renewal and redemption. By weaving together fragments of what society deems as waste, I craft collages that invite contemplation on our relationship with consumption and the environment.

A focal medium in my art is paper, celebrated for its delicate creases and vibrant colors. Each wrinkle reflects a journey—a metaphor for the human experience. Just as our skin bears the marks of time, so too does paper embody the scars and stories that shape us. These imperfections symbolize the wisdom gained through hardship and the beauty found in resilience.

Through my art, I aim to evoke a dialogue about perception, inviting viewers to see beyond the surface. I want to inspire an appreciation for the nuanced interplay of shape and color, and to remind us all that beauty can emerge from the most unexpected places. In this exploration, we find not only aesthetic pleasure but also a deeper connection to our shared humanity and the divine artistry that surrounds us.

P.S. - I respect the diversity of opinions about art; what resonates with me may differ for others. My intention isn’t to impose my views but to share a collective energy that I believe comes from a higher source. This connection to creation motivates me to harness and channel that energy back into the world, reminding us that our time here is finite. Ultimately, my art is a reflection of this shared experience, a dialogue with the universe, and an invitation for others to join in this beautiful exploration
